It was a great thrill to host our very first garden party last week in conjunction with the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce….wrapping up the year with the final Business After 5 function for 2018. The timing was ideal as it officially launched our first season as luxury accommodation in Marlborough and it was an opportunity to showcase the property and homestead to the local business community.

The weather came to the party at the final hour too …howling northwesterlies eased up and the sun beamed its rays an hour before guests arrived. My worst fear was that I had to host this garden party indoors! Not happening I said!

The homestead was open to 80 or so guests to view the new look  interior and for me, to share future plans for the Rowley Crescent property.

Local food and wine suppliers were on board too; Karaka Cuisine created the delicious canapés, Two Rivers served wine from their gorgeous wine cart and Golden Mile Brewery served their latest collection of craft beers.

This was the first of many events I envisage Rowley Homestead will host in the future; weddings, garden parties, corporate and private functions  are on the horizon as well as hosting guests in the homestead –  private luxury accommodation.  Here are a few moments from the event:
