Welcome to Rowley Estate Homestead – a country house set in the stunning Marlborough wine country.
Nine years ago I arrived in Blenheim embracing a sea change and a dream of developing luxury accommodation for international guests. The move from North Island to South in 2017 was swift and unexpected. Indeed the house ‘found me’ as I said a whole hearted yes to the opportunity. I knew instantly that this was where I wanted to be….
On arrival the homestead was tired and lacked love, the 1.6ha of land over grown with little design impact. It was a project – a large one, daunting at first but exhilarating to create something new; a country life, a restored homestead and a place to exhale from the noise of the world.
Developing the property and nurturing the homestead back to life has been filled with learning curves, new challenges and opportunities for growth. Every step has taught me something valuable and made the journey exceptionally rewarding.
Since 2018 I have hosted guests from all over the world; United State of America, United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, Canada and Australia. Hosting guests brings much enjoyment each season and along with our exceptional team we aim to provide top notch hospitality in a unique home away from home setting.
Marlborough is international wine country with a spectacular and panoramic landscape. The region is a food basket of quality producers and artisan makers. A region where gardens and horticulture are revered, a variety of outdoor activities on our doorstep and the Marlborough Sounds not too far away. It doesn’t get much better!
